One in Thirty-two – Prison Fellowship

Link to One in Thirty-Two – Prison Fellowship

This is an incredible statistic when you consider that 70% of all children of prisoners will end up in the criminal or juvenile justice system themselves (National Institute of Corrections). This is why it is vital for the Body of Christ to step up and mentor these kids.

In our Bible discussion groups we are hearing more and more:

  • “Pray for my dad who’s in prison.”

  • “Pray for my brother who’s in jail.”

  • “My father is facing 30-years in prison, please pray for him.”

We are facing a crisis. If the Church doesn’t reach out to these kids, who will? Many of you have participated in the Angel Tree program that Prison Fellowship does. You have the privilege through SOY to minister to that child all year long. Our charity needs to go beyond Christmas, and these kids need more than our money, they need our time as well. Won’t you join us in making an impact in the lives of these kids?
